Some may say he was just a dog, an animal, well yes in the end he was. But he was ours, and we were his. 8 years he was part of our life and he made it enjoyable and fun, he gave us laughter and craziness. I had a connection with him I don’t have with most people, even some family members. For being a dog, he was family.

In Need of a Lead — er –um– Mascot

So I find this interesting to note about the Braves, On July 18th the Braves let Dan Uggla go. At that time they sported a 52-43 record (.547) and were leading the NL. Since July 18th, they have gone 8-16 (.333) and fell to 60-59 (.504) and 5 games behind the Nationals. For every game they have won, they have lost 2. Maybe since they are still paying for Dan Uggla, they bring him back just to be a mascot and a leader. There definitely is no one in the clubhouse taking this team on their backs, and it seemed even though Uggla wasn’t hitting, he was a little good luck charm.
